Going Back to Date Nights #TheLongestRide @FoxHomeEnt @FHEInsiders

Disclosure:  I am a Fox Home Ent Insider and will receive these DVDs to review in exchange for sharing this information.

This October my husband and I will be celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary. These past 10 years have been pretty busy and crazy but we’ve made it. We’ve survived three houses, a Master’s degree and three kids but all those events have really taken a toll on our date nights. We used to go out all the time and even when my oldest was a baby we’d head out for dates with him in tow. When we had our second child though it got a lot harder to go out and enjoy a meal. A third child made it even harder to head out. My parents and my in-laws live about an hour away and honestly I have never paid a babysitter to watch our kids. We usually just grab one of my younger siblings if they are free since they live closer but they have their own busy lives.

Date nights though are super important for a couple whether they have kids or not because otherwise it can be very easy to drift apart. I know for me it can be hard to manage being a mother and a wife, and my husband usually draws the short straw. Well I am slowly trying to change that by having more date nights with my husband, even if it means just cuddling on the couch together after the kids go to bed.

With summer winding down there is a new movie coming to DVD that would make the perfect date night movie. “The Longest Ride” is a romantic movie based on the book The Choice by Nicholas Sparks.

The Longest Ride

The Longest Ride will make you believe in true love. When Luke (Scott Eastwood) a former champion bull rider attempting a comeback, meets Sophia (Britt Robertson), a college student preparing for her dream job in New York, they embark on an extraordinary – yet uncertain – romantic journey. As conflicting paths test their budding relationship, Luke and Sophia make a fateful connection with Ira (Allen Alda), whose heartwarming memories of his own marriage inspire the young couple and change their lives forever.

This weekend I will be having a date night with my husband and watching The Longest Ride along with some goodies I received. I cannot watch a movie without popcorn and my husband is partial to salty snacks in general. I received some yummy Orville Redenbacher popcorn, Kernel Seasonings to spice up the popcorn and Chex Mix to mix it up! Kernel Season’s is actually the leader in the popcorn-seasonings category, with even more flavors and on-shelf innovation.

You can eat the popcorn and Chex Mix separately or you can mix them together for a great mix of tastes and textures in every handful!

If you want to pick up these goodies for your own date night, Target has some great savings available.  You can even order the products at Target.com and have it delivered or picked up in store the same day.  You can also pick up The Longest Ride to have ready for an upcoming date night or even girls night out!
