A Doll That Talks & Answers Questions – Ask Amy

I received the product below to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

My daughter tells me stories, asks questions and just talks circles around me. Don’t get me wrong, I love her to death and I know I will miss her questions one day, but sometimes I just can’t keep up with her.

Ask Amy has become my daughter’s new best friend. She is a doll for her to love and carry around but also one that talks back to her! Yep Ask Amy actually talks and answer questions. Her lips move, heck her whole head moves and she is designed to be loved.

So how does Ask Amy work?

First you add some batteries. Then she is ready to go! Yep no connecting her to anything or even syncing via bluetooth – she works right off the batteries you put in.

Ask Amy works off your child asking certain questions of her, so she is somewhat limited, but there are a lot of questions she can ask. Ask Amy covers most of the basics your child will ask plus storytelling, alphabet singing, tongue-twisters and more. She actually responds to 12 verbal prompts and questions with a variety of answers.

The following verbal prompts/questions can be used to engage with Ask Amy™:

  • Hello!
  • Where are you from?
  • Tell me a story.
  • Sing me a song.
  • Are you a fashion girl?
  • Do you have pets?
  • Am I pretty?
  • Do you like school?
  • I love you
  • Yes
  • No
  • Good-bye!

Like I said, Ask Amy is limited with what she can say and do, but she also doesn’t require anything extra. No phone or other device required to connect to her so she can really work on the go. A bluetooth/Wi-Fi connection would be nice and extend what she can do and answer but my daughter doesn’t always have those around her.

What I love about Ask Amy is she is wholesome. She was designed to encourage verbal and social/emotional devleopment. She really is a great friend for any child and it is amazing how she keeps up with my daughter! She is also helping my daughter with her social and language skills. She really surprised me and my daughter is amazed every time she talks to her.

Ask Amy really is super simple to use and will really be a great friend for any child. My 4 year old daughter was able to pick up on what to ask and say back to Amy pretty quickly. She has become part of our family and goes along everywhere with us.
