I received this product to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
When the first Wii came out I was pregnant with my first child. I have always been a video gamer and while I didn’t get the Nintendo GameCube or Nintendo 64, I knew I had to have the Wii. My husband waited outside in the snow in the middle of the night for a ticket to be able to come back and purchase a Wii and it was the best present he ever gave me.
I haven’t had a chance to play a lot of video games these last few years but now that my kids are playing video games, I have the itch to play again. We were overdue for a Nintendo Wii U but finally, we have it and we absolutely love it.
1. It brings the family game night to the next level. While I do still believe in traditional board games, sometimes it is great meet-in-the-middle spot to play video games with your kids. Wii U has so many great family games such as Mario Party 10
2. It is a great form of exercise. I used to use Wii Fit daily before kids and then one day I stopped. With the new year I want to finally get back on track exercising and I found some great games for Wii U that make exercising fun like Just Dance 2016
3. It’s affordable. Yes the price is still $300 but there are so many deals going on constantly where you get the console and one to two games. With the games being up to $60, this can make it a great value. I got the Nintendo Wii U 32GB Mario Kart 8 (Pre-Installed) Deluxe Set
4. It’s innovative. Like being someone who is up with the latest gadgets? The Nintendo Wii U comes with a unique controller called the GamePad. The GamePad creates a second window into the video game world on a 6.2 inch, 16:9 aspect ratio LCD touch screen. It also features motion control, front-facing camera, microphone, stereo speakers, rumble features, a sensor bar, a stylus and support for Near Field Communication (NFC). The NFC scanner makes it so you can use amiibo figures in a wide variety of games without an additional portal.
5. It’s an entertainment portal as well. Like Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Instant Video and/or Hulu Plus? The Wii U has all those apps available. It also has apps to socialize, express creativity and explore the world. The Nintendo eShop makes it easy to buy and download most packaged games as well as Nintendo eShop exclusives. I love that I can access Netflix on it after the kids go to bed to catch up on my shows, that is of course when I don’t get caught up playing games!

These game systems are a far cry better from the Atari's I grew up with. We all thought they were so great at that time.
Wipeout looks fun! We have mario kart and the mario party my daughters love that game, it's so much fun, wish they gave us extra controllers! ;)
