Didn’t Think I Would But I Loved “Inside Out” & Some Inside Out Coloring Sheets

When 11-year-old Riley moves to a new city, her Emotions team up to help her through the transition. Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness work together, but when Joy and Sadness get lost, they must journey through unfamiliar places to get back home.

So honestly when I first heard of Inside Out, I didn’t think it would be a movie I’d like. I thought it was a strange movie and didn’t see how a movie about emotions could be entertaining. Boy was I wrong! The movie is absolutely amazing!

So Inside Out features a teenage girl whose emotions are the focus. Each emotion has its own personality and they really stand out – Anger, Joy, Disgust, Sadness Fear. Riley moves with her mom and dad to a new city and obviously she has so issues with that. Her emotions go on an adventure because so much is happening and we get to see their adventure. I love all the characters and how everything is brought together.

I honestly think it would be a great movie to teach kids too about their emotions and how they impact outcomes. Now I point out to my kids when they are acting like one of the characters and they stop and think about the situation. It is also a great movie for kids who have to move to a new city.
