Wii U Game Review: “Just Dance 2016”

I was sent this game to review in exchange for my honest opinion.

Introducing Just Dance 2016 – the newest game from the top-selling franchise – with a new way to play! All you need is your smartphone and the free Just Dance Controller App to play Just Dance 2016 on console, no extra Wii Remotes needed. Bust a move to “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars and feel the beat in “All About That Bass” by Meghan Trainor – Just Dance 2016 features an amazing tracklist with visuals that are more creative and breathtaking than ever before.

This is our first Just Dance game for our Wii U. It is easy to play right out of the box, and if you don’t have enough Wii controllers you can even use a smartphone in the other players hands. That is pretty awesome as it allows additional players without having to buy additional controllers. We have four Wii controllers so I didn’t try this out but it seems easy enough via the app.

I don’t know why, but this Just Dance version just seems like it has a lot more fun dancing songs. There really are so many great songs on the disc and if you get sick of them there is even the option to download additional songs via a Just Dance subscription. It does cost additional for the subscription if you decide to keep it but you do get a 48-hour trial with the disc. I will say it is a little annoying sometimes when my kids pick a song that costs extra but usually they are able to move on to a free included one. (See the full tracklist at justdancegame.com)

Overall, this game is a hit with my family. My kids and I all enjoy this game and it is quite the workout for us!
