Going on an New Adventure with Pee-wee Herman in Pee-wee’s Big Holiday @Netflix #StreamTeam

Did you know that Paul Reubens a.k.a. Pee-wee Herman is 63 years old?  Crazy! When I was younger, I remember watching Pee-wee’s Playhouse on television and now thanks to Netflix I can re-live those childhood memories with my kids. Pee-wee made me laugh and honestly kept me a child. His silliness and creativity was amazing. No other character or actor was as much of a child at heart as he was or is I should say.

Yep Pee-wee is back with a new adventure – Pee-wee’s Big Holiday. So not only can my family get their Pee-wee fix from 5 Seasons of Pee-Wee’s Playhouse or the two Pee-Wee’s movies but now a brand new movie!

  

On March 18th, Netflix launched Pee-wee’s Big Holiday where a chance encounter with a mysterious stranger (Joe Manganiello) points Pee-wee toward his destiny — and an epic adventure.

My family was sent an interactive Pee-wee Watch Kit. From Pee-wee tees to milkshake cups to friendship bracelets and of course Pee-wee’s beloved root beer barrels.

How was the movie? It was amazing! Seriously I laughed out loud more than once! Even my 9 year old who tends to not really show emotion during movies was laughing and smiling. It had the typical Pee-wee Herman humor you’d expect. My kids ages 4, 7 and 9 enjoyed it. I will say it had some jokes that might be inappropriate but my kids didn’t even notice and honestly I didn’t mind that my kids watched it. The movie is primarily geared towards kids, there are just some jokes that went right over my kid’s heads.

The movie is about an adventure Pee-wee goes on to go across the country to New York for Joe Manganiello’s birthday. Yes the real Joe Manganiello stars as himself in the movie. He meets Pee-wee and loves how simple he is. He invites him to his birthday party and gets sad when Pee-wee isn’t there!

I highly recommend Pee-wee’s Big Holiday if you are looking for some laughs whether you are a Pee-wee fan or not. Don’t worry you won’t feel like your missing anything if you haven’t watched the old Pee-wee movies or show – its a whole new adventure!
