From kindergarten thru 8th grade, I wore a uniform for school.  Back then I remember my mom having to drive to a store far away and buy me a very expensive uniform. She didn’t have a lot of money and I got one uniform that had to last. I remember too the uniform being itchy and made of a poor material. We also had to wear skirts as girls and white shirts that wrinkled easily.

Nowadays kids (and moms) are so lucky that schools are more flexible with their uniforms and they can be bought easily.
