Target Pharmacy Has Merged With CVS Pharmacy & What You Should Know #TheCVSDifference #CVS

I’m proud to be working with CVS Pharmacy on the CVS Pharmacy Difference Campaign. All opinions expressed are my own, and all product claims or program details shared should be verified at CVS.com or with the appropriate manufacturers.

Did you know that CVS Pharmacy is now in Target stores? As a busy mom of three, I am so excited for the partnership. of two of my favorite stores. So basically if you were a CVS Pharmacy customer, you can also pick up your prescriptions easily at Target and if you were a Target Pharmacy customer you can now also pick up your prescriptions easily at CVS stores. Target customers also get the health expertise expected from CVS Pharmacy in addition to getting their prescriptions filled. On the topic of prescriptions did you know that there are thousands of CVS Pharmacy locations around the country that any CVS Pharmacy customer can pick up their prescriptions at? All you have to do is call your CVS Pharmacy and ask them to transfer to wherever you are going to be!

Here are some more reasons to use CVS Pharmacy:

ExtraCare Rewards and Pharmacy and Health Rewards – Patients can earn $5 in ExtraBucks Rewards for every 10 prescriptions filled. Patients can also earn rewards for the other things they do to stay healthy, like getting immunizations or choosing email refill reminders.

CVS Mobile App (Android, iOS and Apple Watch compatible) – Notifies customers when prescriptions are ready. Here are some more features of an app:

Drug Interaction Checker – checks all the users prescriptions for potentially adverse reactions with medications.

Pill Identifier – Description of pill’s shape, color and imprint

Refill prescriptions – Users can import prescriptions for refill from their secure medication history, or use the Scan to Refill feature to simply scan a prescription’s barcode and order it in one easy step

MedRemind – Helps customers stay on track with their medication schedules by enabling them to customize reminders to take their prescriptions and notifications to caregivers when a dose is missed.

Scan Paper Script – Customers can quickly and conveniently start a prescription fill process by capturing a photo of their written prescription through the app.

Insurance Card ScanCustomers can easily share new insurance information with their pharmacist by taking a photo of their insurance card, instantly updating data across our store systems.

Drug Information Center – Users can quickly search for easy-to-understand information on thousands of drugs to make better health-educated decisions for their own knowledge or before they speak to a caregiver, pharmacist or physician.

New medication overviews that include large pill images as well as “How This Drug Works” videos that show what is happening inside the body when taking the medication. This helps patients understand how the medication works so they will keep taking it, even if they don’t feel an immediate physical difference.

Customers can also review guidance on whether certain medications are safe for use before, during and after pregnancy. Other condition and lifestyle related information including interactions with food and drink.

Side Effects – Users can view details on side effect occurrence rates and patient usage statistics that were previously not readily available to consumers. Including generic versus brand name, typical strengths prescribed and when to be concerned over side effects.

Printable Medicine List – Users can combine prescription and non-prescription health information into one personalized printable list that folds into card size they can store in a wallet, facilitating better communication between patient and health care provider.
