I was the products below to review in exchange for my honest opinion.
My kids have been playing with K’NEX since they were just starting to play with real toys. From Lincoln Logs to Tinkertoys, K’NEX has been a hit in our household. Now my boys have moved onto some of the older K’NEX building sets, which K’NEX has just come out with a few awesome ones!
We got the chance to check out the Infinite Journey Roller Coaster Building Set and it was a great addition to our thrill ride collection. (See my post on the Wild Whiplash.)
My 8 year old loves K’NEX and this set was no exception. As a parent I love this set because it doesn’t require batteries but rather is kid-powdered! At just over 300 pieces it took my son a few hours to build and ever since it has entertained him for hours. The track pieces are flexible and easily snapped together. The directions are very visual and walk the builders through each step. The car is slingshotted by pulling it back and watching it go.
Once your child is done with this set, it is fun to easily taken apart and re-built. As much as it kills my kids to take apart their creations, they do love re-building them into new and different creations. We have a whole bin of K’NEX pieces that my kids love pulling out. My boys have a dream to create a whole theme park!
