I am currently a member of the Netflix Stream Team and this post is part of my involvement in the Group in exchange for receiving a product package.
From morning to night, I feel like I am constantly watching kid shows. From Luna Petunia to Skylanders, my kids basically watch Netflix all day long. Don’t think I don’t kick my kids out for outside fun or tell them they need television breaks but when they are inside, they are all about Netflix. We have been pretty low-key this summer too since my oldest child had heart surgery and has limited activities. Yeah, for Netflix to save the day!
For me though, I have been sneaking in all the Netflix I can get. Before summer break started, I would watch Netflix during the day (in the background) while I worked and late at night same thing, in the background. I am pretty good at multitasking so working and watching a show is second nature for me. Now though that summer is in full swing, I have had to come up with other ways to get my Netflix bingeing on…like on a tablet while I’m cleaning the toy room or folding laundry. I can’t believe my family hasn’t noticed my eagerness to clean so much lately! I think they think if they come by me when I’m cleaning then they have to help so they steer clear and I get to binge off my tablet all the shows I’ve been missing. I admit too to watching while at the park just to finish an episode!
97% of moms say they had more time for themselves before motherhood and now 71% of moms admit to sneaking TV “me-time” while juggling their busy family schedules.
A recent Netflix survey revealed that moms are feeling less stress and more refreshed – 19% even say it makes them feel like a better parent by sneaking “me-time” in.
I whole-heartedly agree that Netflix bingeing relieves stress and therefore makes me a better mom. When I don’t do anything for myself, I get crabby, jealous and resentful. I need “me-time” every now and then, even if its just 15 minutes of my favorite show. I also like watching non-animated shows every now and then, which I know is hard to believe!
In case you missed it, Netflix now has a Thumbs Up/Down Rating System! By clicking a thumbs up or down, Netflix learns what you like and don’t like so you have better recommendations.
WIN IT: (1) US winner will receive a 6-Month Netflix Subscription

It's the worst but I do usually watch an episode on my laptop when I go to bed - it's so blissfully peaceful and quiet! #MomSneak

I wait until the afternoon when I have my snack and tea with my cat on my lap when everyone is gone so I don't get interrupted and watch some of my shows.
I watch my shows late at night after everyone else has gone to bed! I used to watch them in the mornings while eating breakfast after doing the school drop-off run too!
