I received this car for one week to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

I honestly have never known much about Toyota before but let me say that the 2017 Toyota Highlander has blown me away. It is an amazing SUV that is so much bigger on the inside than I expected. It is not a boat on the outside but somehow it is so roomy on the inside. I’d say if you are looking for a large SUV to accommodate up to seven people, this is the car for you. I have checked out many SUVs and this is the biggest regular one I have driven.

Features:

• Roomy – like I said this is a very roomy SUV. It features two captain chairs in the middle with a cup holder part that flips up or down for use. The back row has seating for three people but you can flip up or down the seats if you need extra trunk storage.

• Usually, there is a no trunk when you have the third row bench up but this trunk was surprising a decent size!

• V6 Engine – It has great pickup
• Sporty design

• Keyless entry – This is becoming pretty standard and I love it. Being able to keep my car keys in my purse or pocket means I don’t have to dig them out. You just push a button on the door when you are nearby and it senses the keys.

• USB and Outlet – my kids really appreciated being able to charge their tablets and Nintendo 3DS

• Push Button Engine Start – Again this becoming standard but it goes along with keyless entry and is a convenience thing.

• Touch-Screen Navigation/Entertainment System – This navigation was super easy to use and I didn’t need a manual to figure out.

• 20 MPG City and 26 MPG Highway – not the greatest but not bad either for a SUV
• Text messages read aloud and on the screen

• Smart and useful dashboard

• Seat warmers

• Nice big sunroof
• Temperature controls for middle row

While many features are becoming standard on cars, it is nice to have them added. Toyota’s motto is “Let’s Go Places” and I really feel it got me and my family around for that week.We did a lot of traveling in those days and my family of five had plenty of room. There was probably features I didn’t even take advantage of and definitely plenty I didn’t mention. The price of the model I drove was around $44,000 but it was pretty loaded. I would definitely recommend checking out this model for a growing family, especially if you are trying to avoid a minivan but still need the room!
