Whenever my family needs something, my first thought is…I bet I can get it at Savers. I am a very practical and straight-forward person and if I can get something second-hand then I am going to do just that. From saving money to finding unique items, I love my Savers thrift store.
With Halloween coming up, my first stop was of course Savers. All five of us in my family dress up and with costumes costing $40 and up usually, I cannot justify spending $200 for a costume we all may wear just a few hours.
Even if you are not creative with costume ideas, there are so many easy items that can be thrown together to come up with something!
We haven’t decided yet what we are going as but I did head to my local Savers for ideas. To make it even easier, Savers has a whole Halloween section with new, used and items to piece together to choose from. It really couldn’t be any easier to buy a costume!
I found a robe and was thinking I could do either an old lady or a crazy cat lady!
I found scrubs and could go as a doctor or nurse.
Spyder race car shirt equals a cool race car driver.
Spiderman onesie doubles as a Halloween costume and then pajamas! It is just $5 (and would be only $2.50 on Monday since most of the store is 50% off on Mondays!)
This cool comic book dress could be awesome with some comic book makeup where you do the dots on your face to look like your from a comic. This was also only $5!
Hockey jersey makes for an easy hockey costume and you could even go as a zombie hockey player since zombies are popular now!
This looks like it was part of a costume but I am seeing a pirate, train conductor or bellhop with this cute dress!
This old dance costume reminds me of the anime character Sailor Moon or could just be a cute sailor girl outfit!
This crazy jacket screams hippie to me or even musician like Jimi Hendrix! Very cool!
Soccer player anyone? This shirt can even be worn after Halloween because it is a cool shirt for any soccer fan! Not to leave our baseball or football, I also found those pants in the boys section!
This Batman dress would make for a super cute Batgirl – it even had a cape attached!
I couldn’t resist this shoulder-pad puffy woman’s blazer – Hello, 1980 working girl! Just tease up some hair and maybe carry around an old phone?
Seriously there are so many unique items at Savers that it should be your first stop when costume shopping. You never know what you will find and I dare you to walk out of the store empty handed! There is seriously something for everyone there and you will save so much money! Plus you are helping out the planet by reusing an item!
Looking for a brand-new packaged licensed costume, Savers has those too! They even have accessories, perfect for adding to your new or used costume.
There are over 300 Savers stores throughout the U.S. and Canada. Check the Savers website for one in your area.
