Be careful what you wish for. With their after school junk business, best friends Sonny and Sam hope to find treasure in other people’s trash. But when cleaning out the old Stine house, they open a locked book that frees a supernatural nightmare- Slappy! GOOSEBUMPS 2 has a run time of approximately 120 minutes and is rated PG for scary creature action and images, some thematic elements, rude humor and language.

My family loved this movie. It is hard to find something that my kids ages 7 to 12 years old will enjoy as well as us parents, but this movie did it. There were scary parts, funny parts, silly parts and more. Definitely a little creepy with Slappy being an evil doll so you may want to watch first if you think it will freak out your child. I loved that it was a great starter to horror movies for my kids as they are always asking when they can watch scary movies – this was a perfect starter movie to warm them up.

Yes Jack Black does make an appearance, I was pretty excited as I love him as an actor. The kids are all new but they do tie the storyline to the last movie pretty well – kinda reminds me of how the new Jumanji movie picked up after the last one. We will be watching it again.
