Get Muddy With Your Family at the Kids Obstacle Challenge

Looking for some family fun this summer that will get everyone moving? The Kids Obstacle Challenge is taking over the west suburbs with a 1.5-2-mile running (or walking) course with 14-15 fun and challenging obstacles.

What is the best part? There’s mud! Okay well that might not appeal to everyone but let me tell you how not excited my kids were about a “marathon” we were doing as a family until I told them mud was involved! You can of course try to avoid the mud while there but think of it as going back to our roots as a kids when mud was fun!

My husband and 10-year-old did the Kids Obstacle Challenge last summer and they had a blast, so this summer I decided we were all going to be available for it. I was so bummed the rest of us couldn’t do it last year. My son still talks about and thought it was so cool to do.

WHAT: Kids Obstacle Challenge

WHEN: Saturday & Sunday – July 13 & 14 – Waves released every 20 minutes from 8:30am-12:20pm

WHO: Kids ages 5 – 16 years old – parents run free!

WHERE: Located at Danada South Park in Lisle, IL

WHY: Challenge your kids (and yourself)! It is outdoor fun! Yeah for being active and adventurous!
