Japanese Cities You Won’t Want to Miss

With its rich culture, delicious food and unique buildings, Japan is a place everyone should visit. There is so much to do and see that it can be difficult to know where to begin. This is a country you will want to return to again and again so that you are able to see all it has to offer. Here are a few places to get you started when planning your trip.

Tokyo

Tokyo is the modern hub of Japan. This incredible capital city is full of some truly unbelievable activities. Cat lovers will enjoy visiting the unique cafes full of felines for you to pet. You will not be disappointed with the incredible flavors you’ll find here as Japan has some of the best fried chicken in the world. If you’re looking for a fun adventure, driving a go kart dressed as Mario is a must. Don’t forget to check out the outrageous fashions that Tokyo is known for.

Kyoto

If you need a break from the bustling city life that is Tokyo, head on over to Kyoto for a more peaceful vibe. This ancient Japanese city has some of the most amazing temples in the country and should definitely be on all tours to Japan. Don’t miss out on going to the Gion district where you will find no shortage of geishas. Kyoto is known for being the best tea producer in Japan, and you can actually go visit the Wazuka Tea Plantation.

Hakone

If you are looking for a view of Mount Fuji, Hakone is the way to go. You can usually get a good view of it from the lake or cable car. After you spend some time exploring, you can enjoy a nice soak in an onsen, which is a Japanese hot spring. Be sure to make time to visit the beautiful Hakone Shrine at the end of Lake Ashinoko. The Hakone Tozan Railway is the oldest mountain railway in Japan and will give you a great view of the mountains in the area. If you’re into art, be sure to visit the Picasso collection in the Open Air Museum.

Start planning your vacation to Japan early, so you get a good sense of what you want to do. Research recommendations online for more information on the best places to see and eat. Remember, you won’t be able to see everything the country has to offer in one trip, so you’ll definitely want to plan to come back one day.
