The 12 Cleanest and Safest Cruises in America

Miami has the second largest cruise port in the world. The SteinLaw office of accident lawyers in Miami handles cruise ship accidents and liability cases. On their website it says that cruise ship passengers are legally considered invitees—and this means they “are owed the highest duty of care of all the classifications.”

Of the more than 200 cruise ships the CDC has inspected between 2018 and 2020, a majority received at least an 86/100 on the sanitation score. Some of these scored perfect 100/100. These include ships owned by Carnival Corp., Caribbean Cruises, and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. We all are usually picky about how we will spend the few weeks of vacation we are given. This is because we pay a lot of money for making this time unforgettable and often resort to vacation loans to cover our travel-related costs. That’s why it’s important to make sure a cruise will be a positive experience, not marred by poor sanitation or lack of amenities. Therefore, we have compiled a ranking of the best cruise ships to help you choose the right option and enjoy a memorable trip

These are the 12 cleanest cruise ships that dock in the USA:

The Rhapsody of the Seas, Royal Caribbean International

This ship sets sail from ports all across the Caribbean as well as the Mediterranean. It has 6 bars, a live orchestra, a spa and fitness center, a ballroom, hot tubs. This cruise also hosts professional development guest lectures in its dozen conference rooms.

Disney Wonder, Disney Cruise Line

Fun for the kids and relaxation for mom, dad, and grandma. This ship is built with families in mind. It has 11 levels and fireworks. For the grownups there are themed pubs with a classic Disney twist. The Disney cruises are highly renowned for their exquisite hospitality and quality of service.

Seabourn Quest, Seabourn Cruise Line

This is a luxury cruise. It has award-winning dining venues and plenty of fine dining. This line is more apt for professionals on vacation and retirees than families.

Viking Star, Viking Cruises

This is one of the list’s smaller, more intimate ships. It was built in 2015 and measures 745 feet. This is also a luxury line. It mostly moves around Scandinavian Sea

Aurora, P&O Cruises

Cruise reviews rank this ship 4/5 stars. It is a mid-sized adults-only ship. This ship mostly caters to an older British demographic. It features black-tie nights. It has well-supplied on-board health services.

Sea Princess, Princess Cruises

This ship features a casino and a luxury atmosphere, but also has a “Discovery at SEA” program for kids. Most food onboard is included. This doesn’t just mean a lunch buffet, the ship also has an elegant dining experience every night. For entertainment, it features guest performers from all over the world.

Disney Dream, Disney Cruise Lines

Disney’s cruises have the advantage of carrying all the magic of the Disney name. In the case of the Disney Dream, this includes a themed water slide with floats, Finding Nemo live performances, and epic ballrooms. The live stage shows feature Mickey, Donald, and Beauty and the Beast characters.

MSC Lirica, MSC Cruise Management (UK) Limited

This ship has 780 cabins. The top priority for this Italian cruise is hospitality and excursions. It was created very consciously by architects who created a “timeless” interior. Being an Italian line, the buffet and fine dining aspects are a highlight. On the menu you can expect truffle-scented pumpkin risotto and Paris style chicken breast with parsley.

Norwegian Spirit, Norwegian Cruise Line

This ship has 13 decks. It has a barbershop on the pool deck, along with an internet café for digital nomads. Norwegian is also known for offering plenty of promotions. There are nightly dance parties as well as viewing halls and observation spots in the front of the ship.

The Seabourn Odyssey, Seabourn Cruise Line

This small, stylish cruise is made with elegance in mind. The build resembles a massive yacht. It offers a coffee bar, a boutique, and a diner with vintage wines.

The Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Cruises

This ship has 12 decks. The top deck offers live music most nights of the week. It has two pools and four jacuzzis. On this pool deck there is plenty of shade, which is great for so your kids can avoid a sunburn. This is one of the cozier cruises out there. The lunch menu specializes in pasta and is quite extensive.

Enchantment of the Seas, Royal Caribbean International

This ship features an indoor pool for colder climates as well as a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream bar! It has internet services you can include in your ticket if you plan on working during your trip. Unlike most ships, this line offers nightly entertainment in the three-story central atrium. Expect your trip around the Caribbean to be an adventure you and your family will remember for many years to come.
