Imaginative Play & Sharing Emotions With Whatsitsface

I received product in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

Being a parent is hard and with my oldest being 13 years old, it hasn’t gotten any easier. Well, I guess it has become a little easier as now my kids can communicate with me whereas when they were little, they obviously didn’t talk. My oldest actually had no speech until he was 3 years old and I got him into a speech program in preschool. My second child had similar issues and then my third I swear she came out talking full sentences.

Just like speech, emotions are something we take for granted as adults. We all know (well for the most part) what we are feeling and how to express those feelings, even though we might not do or do it the right way. Teaching kids emotions is hard because how do you describe happy or sad or angry. Then kids have to be able to express their emotions, which is something adults even struggle with. My oldest actually had a tablet-type device that he used to talk for him and he would push various buttons to express himself.

Now there is a company called Whatsitsface that has created a plush that shows off six emotions with the twist or a knob or flip of a face. Each Whatsitsface offers a child endless opportunities to create new imaginative play scenarios while having fun and developing emotional intelligence.

Whatsitsface is perfect for kids to show off their emotions that they may not be able to express in words or maybe they don’t want to. Maybe as a parent you can see the Whatsitsface with an angry face and know your child may need some space or maybe you can prepare yourself with how you are going to help your child.

Each Whatsitsface is 8″ tall when seated and made from soft plush material – composed of durable plastic hidden inside plush head. They are also surface clean only. The plushes are perfect for cuddling with and being a friend when needed. I love how they can sit up and that no batteries are required! There are so many plastic toys out there that kids outgrow or get bored with but Whatsitsface is something your child can grow with and use for imaginative play as well as expressive play.
