California Strawberry Commission (& Giveaway Ends 9/27)

MY THOUGHTS:

Now I love strawberries no matter what time of season and can eat them anytime.  I actually am so glad I checked out the California Strawberry website too because I didn’t know you shouldn’t wash them before you eat them.   I usually wash them and cut them up and store in the fridge, but they will last longer if you wash them as you are going to eat them.  I also did not realize how healthy and beneficial they are!  Now I feel like I want to eat strawberries more than I already do!

I typically eat strawberries as a snack or with some sugar or cool whip, but I also love them in smoothies.  Toss in some yogurt or ice and I can have a nice refreshing fruit smoothie!  I haven’t really cooked with strawberries yet or used them in a recipe, but I am looking forward to checking out all the recipes on the California Strawberry website!
