Betty Crocker Potato Buds Review (& Giveaway Ends 10/25)

ABOUT:

Betty Crocker Potato Buds has just come out with a new and improved taste to please even the pickiest of eaters.  These buds are ready in just five minutes and are great whether topped with butter, sour cream or added to a recipe like Beef Pot Pie with Potato Biscuit Crust and Italian Hamburger Deep Dish. They are also gluten-free.

MY THOUGHTS:

I love potatoes no matter the form they are in, but mashed potatoes are my favorite.  Something about the creamy, whipped texture and taste just makes me hungry thinking about it!  I also love that you can top it with so many different things like gravy, sour cream, chives, corn, or bacon bits (just to name a few!)  I myself love loaded mashed potatoes with some crispy chicken breasts and green beans!  Now I do love homemade mashed potatoes, but really there are a project for me that I only end up making them for holidays.  For the everyday meal, I whip up instant potatoes and my family gobbles them up.  Well the Betty Crocker Potato Buds is actually one that I haven’t tried yet because I always thought they were complicated to make. Mashed potatoes are super easy to make though with the Betty Crocker Potato Buds, just add water butter (or margarine) salt, and milk then microwave or cook on the stove for the suggested time.  The box tells you how much ingredients to use depending on the amount of servings you would like.  My family absolutely loved these and my husband actually thought they were homemade!  They came out great and I will be finding more meals I can incorporate mashed potatoes in!  Also, the whole potato buds threw me off.  Well the reason they are called Potato Buds and not just instant mashed potatoes is because you can use them in various recipes.  I had no idea you could use potato buds to make soups, crusts, or breaded chicken or even bread!  I am super excited to try out the Cheesy Broccoli-Potato Soup as that is my favorite soup!
