Wendy’s New Pick 2 Meal Combinations (& Giveaway – 5 Winners Ends 10/26)

Wendy’s is adding some new $4.99 Combo Menu Options that feature their newly reinvented salads.  Now customers can “Pick 2” without compromising on flavor or price and for the reasonable price of only $4.99!

With Wendy’s new offering there are 28 possible combination’s in total – almost enough for every day of the month. Customers can suit themselves by picking two ingredients from a long list of options:

• Apple Pecan Chicken Salad,  a perfect mix of peak-season red and green apples, real blue cheese crumbles, sweet cranberries and roasted pecans, topped with warm grilled chicken
• Baja Salad, a hearty Southwestern salad that features fresh pico de gallo, guacamole and Wendy’s original chili, all topped with a red jalapeno dressing
• Spicy Chicken Caesar Salad, offering hand-chopped Romaine lettuce and sweet grape tomatoes topped with shaved Asiago cheese and warm spicy chicken
• BLT Cobb Salad, which mixes crispy Applewood Smoked Bacon with real blue cheese crumbles, hard-boiled eggs, tomatoes and an avocado ranch dressing
• Wendy’s Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, featuring a hot and juicy beef burger with American cheese and fresh-cooked, thick-cut Applewood Smoked Bacon
• Wendy’s rich and meaty chili
• a Baked Potato (cooked in an oven, not zapped in a microwave)
• One of our grilled or spicy homestyle Chicken Go Wraps
• A refreshing Dasani bottled water, a cool and creamy small Frosty, or any other small-size beverage

Wendy’s understands that for many people, a half-size salad is enough to satisfy their appetites and tastebuds. People who crave real ingredients but also want to manage their nutrition needs can pick Wendy’s too. Eighteen of the new combinations are less than 600 calories (without dressing), and all of them combine fruits, vegetables, nuts, dairy and proteins. Wendy’s new combination meals are available nationwide at the suggested retail price of $4.99. Half-sized Garden Sensations salads are available at the suggested retail price of $3.99.  Prices will vary.

MY THOUGHTS:

I personally love Wendy’s because it really does have so many menu combinations that I actually enjoy.  The best part though is that I can affordably feed my family all from one fast-food location, we can all find something we have a taste for off the menu.  My favorite is the Baja Salad and with this new “Pick 2” Deal I can also satisfy my cheeseburger or chicken craving, or even treat myself to a frosty.  The possibilities many be in 28 combinations but to me that is a lot from a fast-food restaurant so to me it’s like endless possibilities.

Now I can enjoy delicious salads and my kids can get their chicken nuggets (which by the way are like $1.29 for 5-pieces!)  I even got my husband to try the “Pick 2” with Wendy’s chili and the BLT Cobb Salad.  I can feed my family of 4 (granted my kids are only 2 and 3 years old and don’t eat much) for around $15, which I have paid $20-$30 at other fast-food locations and not even enjoyed the food.  As far as food quality goes, I have never had a problem.  You might also think that since the salads are so cheap they are not the best quality but that couldn’t be further from the truth, the lettuce is crisp, veggies fresh and I love all the little extras thrown in them.  I highly recommend checking out the new “Pick 2” deal at Wendy’s, even if you haven’t been to Wendy’s in awhile, now is definitely the time to go!
