MY THOUGHTS:

My sons love cardboard boxes, and you can imagine how many I get!  They sit in them, draw on them, and push each other around in them.  The boxes are always brown though so colors don’t show up too well on them and they are usually square or rectangle.  We have received and built a cardboard house before and my boys loved it.

Recently I heard about Build A Dream Playhouses and they have some awesome cardboard creations!  Their designs include:  The Snack Shack, Pop N’ Play Castle, Pop N’ Play Kitchen, The Cosmic Cruiser, The Imagine Wagon, and The Dream Machine.  What is great about the Build A Dream Playhouses products are that they are different and there really is one to fit any child’s tastes or gender.  While my sons love their cardboard playhouse, I knew they would absolutely love The Dream Machine.  I will say though it was a toss up with The Imagine Wagon (ice cream truck) and Pop N’ Play Castle.  The Cosmic Cruiser is pretty cool but I wanted something big enough for both kids to play with.

The Dream Machine comes with five cardboard sections that are easily fitted together, without adhesives or fasteners.  The car measures 53.5” x 27” x 34.5”.  I will say though I taped the inside of it for extra reinforcement.  It took me about twenty minutes to set it up and of course I have two little “helpers.”   Once it was set-up my boys immediately got their crayons and started coloring.  They didn’t decorate it as well as they could of but then again they are only 2 and 3 years old.  My 3 year old had a great idea though and put four little chairs inside so four passengers could sit in there!  No way was Aidan sitting on the floor, he wanted to drive in style! It really is cute and I think it will definitely get us through the stir-craziness of the winter!  For summertime there is the adorable Snack Shack, which is perfect for a lemonade stand!  So if your looking for something different for your kids, I highly recommend checking out the Build A Dream Playhouses for a fun and creative toy!
