As I have said before my boys love to build and sometimes its nice to have smaller sets for them to build so they can do it all by themselves.  Yes a project for them so they can feel the pride in accomplishing something and time for me to get some housework done!  I like to use small sets too as rewards for my kids and K’NEX makes some at $6.99 that make it affordable for me to do that!

The 3 Small K’NEX Building Sets:

Truck

This set uses classic K’NEX rods and connectors to build a 67 piece truck.  After your 5+ year old child builds it they can then zoom it around as it has wheels.  My son who is a truck fanatic loved being able to build a truck and then be able to play with it.  I was surprised too at how durable the pieces are and how this set pretty much held together!  All the pieces are made in the USA too!  Once your done you can also build a space shuttle with cargo doors that open and close by combining all three sets.

Airplane

Helicopter

This set uses classic K’NEX rods and connectors to build a 62 piece helicopter.  This helicopter is pretty neat because its small enough for kids to build themselves and then they can push the propeller around on their own to watch it “fly.”!  The set once put together is pretty durable too and held together as it fly through the air!  All the pieces are made in the USA too!  Once your done you can also build a space shuttle with cargo doors that open and close by combining all three sets.

Overall, these are perfect little sets to get kids going and keep them entertained.  My boys (5 and 6) had a blast with them and they were the perfect amount of pieces for them.
