Mega Bloks Skylanders SWAP Force Battle Arcade & Spinners {Review}

As I have said before, my kids love Skylanders.  I admit I love the whole concept of them, being that yes they belong to a video game but that you can build up each character in the game, play with the physical characters themselves and now there is a whole lot of fun products out surrounding the Skylanders SWAP Force game.  Mega Bloks is one company that I really see leading the charge with Skylanders products outside of the game.  As you know Mega Bloks is known for their building blocks, but they are also known for creating toys that you can build and really play with!  I got the chance to check out the New Mega Bloks Skylanders SWAP Force Frost Guard Battle Arcade and some of the Skylanders SWAP Force Spinners, and my boys had a blast with them!

So basically what you do is take your Skylands Spinner pieces, build you character, put the ripcord in and pull!  The characters then zoom around and battle until one falls!  While you definitely do not need the Mega Bloks Skylanders SWAP Force Frost Guard Battle Arcade, it does give the Skylands Spinners a nice are to battle on and keep them together.  We keep everything in the same box for easy playing.  When I gave this to my 5 year old, he played with it for a good hour and ever since has taken it out to play it every time his friends come over.  It is a cute toy and something different.  It got my kids off the couch playing video games and on the floor building their guys and re-building their guys to battle them.  It is all in good fun.  Like I said earlier too you don’t need the Battle Arcade to enjoy the Spinners if you don’t want to invest that much money now, just use a box or even build your own arena walls with Mega Bloks!  It is nice too that the Battle Arcade comes with Skylanders to build and battle so you can play right out of the box, then add more Spinners later on.
