Bringing HABA to the Kitchen {Review}

Disclosure:  I received the products below to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

HABA is one of my favorite toymakers and I have yet to be disappointed from a product of theirs.  I never though thought about using HABA in my kitchen, yes my real kitchen not just my kid’s play kitchen!  Well HABA has come out some new kitchen items for both pretend play and real cooking in the kitchen!

Ketchup & Mustard

These are adorable little plastic bottles that are great for little hands.  My daughter was so excited to display them in her “cafe.”  To make them more realistic a piece of yarn pours out as you squeeze it, to simulate the ketchup or mustard drizzling out of the bottles.  The stickers are not cheap and don’t feel like they are going to peel off and the bottles are thicker than just cheap plastic.  At the prices of $6.95 for the set, it is a must have for any little chef!

Silicone Kitchen Molds – Princess Cupcake

The Silicone Kitchen Molds come in eight different varieties priced from $10 to $25 for both freezing and baking. I have never cooked with silicone before so I was skeptical but I have family members that swear by their silicone pans so I figured I’d give it a try.  Now of course I had no baking products in my house but I did have white chocolate chips which I melted and poured into two of the molds.  My daughter was so excited for her bird and crown chocolates!  I can’t wait to use this mold for brownies or little cakes – they will be so fun to decorate!  The mold is super flexible and does come with three recipes to try out in the pan that are easy enough sounding to make.  I just love the designs you can make as they really are make a special treat for a child.  It amazes me that HABA makes kitchen products for adults but as expected they are high quality.  I see making lots of treats in this mold in our future.  I think next I will make some crayons as I read how people bake crayon bits in silicone molds to make cute crayons!  Cleaning it from our chocolate treats was a breeze and I have no doubt it will be easy enough after baking.

 My chocolate wasn’t the best and I was impatient, but still cute!
