Meet Sophie and her new friend, Goose, in this adorable picture book by debut author-illustrator Laura Wall! Sophie loves to dress up and play with her dolls and swing on the swings, but she wishes she had a friend to join in the fun. Then one day Sophie meets Goose. HONK! The two become fast friends. But when it’s time for Goose to fly away, can Sophie find a way to make him stay?
With simple, bold, and colorful illustrations, Laura creates a sweet story about an unusual and heartwarming friendship that will instantly delight young readers again and again.
This is a great hardcover picture book that features just one sentence per page and an illustration. It is about a little girl who is lonely, until she meets a goose. They become friends and have a great day at the park. She goes back the next day and plays again with the goose. The the goose says he has to go because winter is coming but he ends up staying! It is a cute story of friendship and quick read. My daughter laughs and laughs about the goose and the little girl. The illustrations are very bright and fun.
