Are you the next Sherlock Holmes?

Submitted by on February 20, 2009 – 9:59 PM2 Comments

For all you mystery buffs out there, I have found a website that you will love. 5 Minute Mysteries is a website that features short and challenging mysteries that you need to choose the clues, suspect, and then solve the case. A new mystery is posted everyday from Monday to Friday and the answer is posted the next day.

By solving a mystery you earn points and you move up in rankings. You can even visit their archives to solve more mysteries once you solved the mystery of the day. Curious? You can check out the 5 Minute Mystery webpage to view 2 mysteries, which are rated for percentage solved so far. I am really bad with mysteries and I always guess the wrong person, and these mysteries are long and detailed, but intriguing also. You can view the mysteries for free, but if you want the answer they do charge a $9.95 per year fee subscription. With your subscription you will receive: Daily mystery emails, scoring and clue identification, access to archived mysteries, rankings, and solutions.

Now I am not one to pay for online subscriptions because there is so much out there for free, but I could see some people really enjoying this. (You can give a gift subscription too.) I am considering giving this to my mom for Mother’s day as she is always doing some kind of trivia and she loves mysteries! I think she would get a kick out of solving these puzzles and competing for higher rankings. Ten dollars a year really is not bad at all, I mean it is less than a dollar a month! Still curious? You can check out a blurb about 5 Minute Mysteries featured on ABC News here. So anyways, I thought this site was interesting and I wanted to pass it on.

Go Here to check out today’s mystery from 5 Minute Mysteries.
