Dryel At-Home Dry Cleaning Products Review (& Giveaway Ends 9/13)

MY THOUGHTS:

Now I am by no means a laundry expert, especially when it comes to dry cleaning.  I actually avoid dry clean only clothes like they are the black plague!  Well now thanks to Dryel I don’t have to pass up on a shirt or dress I really like because it is dry-clean only.  Actually I decided to test out their newly package dry cleaning products on a dress I just wore to a wedding and a few sweaters.  I love too that Dryel is not just for dry clean only clothes but can now give all types of clothes a quick and fresh clean (perfect if you don’t have a lot of time!)  I actually read too that Dryel cleans 10 garments for the cost of one dry cleaned garment, so it is perfect too if you are on a budget!

The Dryel Starter Kit

The kit contains 2 ultra-concentrated cleaning cloths that will care for 2 dryer loads (up to four garments in each load for a total of 8 garments). Dryel® is also available in economical six-load refill packs in Clean Breeze Scent to care for up to 24 garments. Each kit includes:

• Instant Stain Remover Pen
• 2X ULTRA Concentrated Refill Cloths
• Re-usable Fabric Protection Bag
• An instructional pamphlet including coupons

I love that this kit contains a re-usable bag (so even if you don’t have Dryel you still can use the bag for your delicates and such) and a stain remover pen.  This is the perfect kit to start off with and going forward you would just need to purchase the refill packs.  The fabric bag is also pretty big and would fit a large sweater or men’s suit jacket with no problem or up to 4 items in total.  It is also a very easy kit to understand and use, perfect for dry cleaning newbie’s like me who can’t always afford (or find the time) to go to the Dry Cleaners.  Depending on whether the item is dirty or not, just prep it with the Stain Pen, Stem it in the dryer and then wear it!

Dryel 3-IN-1 Touch-Up Spray

Dryel 3-IN-1 Touch Up Spray™ is specially formulated to safely care for your everyday and dry clean clothes. Use to extend the time between cleanings!

This spray is perfect for those times when you clothes have a funk or just need a fresh smell, and you either don’t have time to dry clean them or the item is not really dirty.  I used this on a dry cleaned dress that I had in storage as it was already cleaned just a little musty, the spray freshened it right up!  Not only does the Dryel 3-in-1 Touch-Up Spray give clothes a clean smell to them but it also helps get rid of wrinkles and clinginess.  I am planning on spritzing all my sweaters this fall as I pull them out of the plastic totes I store them in.

Dryel On the Go Stain Pen

Dryel On The Go™  helps remove fresh stains, and it’s EVEN safe on dry clean only clothes, delicates and hand-washables such as wools, silks, rayons, linens, cottons and other special care fabrics.

Okay first off I have to say I have tried two other stain remover pens in the past and hated them.  With that being said, the Dryel On the Go Stain Pen rocks!  My problems before was the cap would always fall off and the stain stick would then dry up, the cap on the Dryel Stain Pen clicks into place and you have to lift a piece of the cap to un click – so basically it is not opening unless you want it to!  This pen has become a permanent fixture in my purse because with a husband and two kids, there is always a stain somewhere!  I love too that it can be used on dry clean only clothes, as in the past I was always afraid of putting the wrong chemicals on it.

Overall, I was very pleased with the Dryel products, each have their own benefits and purposes that I would definitely recommend all three.  The Stain Pen is nice for stains on the go, the Touch-Up Spray is perfect for in-between cleanings, and the Starter Kit is a great kit of all the necessities (although it does come with a Stain Pen, it is always nice to have an extra kept in the car or with your spouse.
