{Back to School Guide} Healthy Odor Control Review (& Giveaway Ends 9/7)

ABOUT:

Healthy Odor Control produces products in three forms (Spray, Gel, and Solid) to safely eliminate and neutralize odors from the air.  The products contain Propylene glycol, Denatured alcohol, and a Secret mixture of 32 essential oils derived from plants and trees.  The essential oils have anti fungal, antiseptic, and antibacterial characteristics as well as reducing airborne chemicals.  Using the science of laws of attraction and absorption as well as the Pairs Theory (two or more scents can cancel each other out when they combine via natural attraction and bonding), the Healthy Odor Control products were devised.

Perfect for:                                                             Features:

  • Bathrooms                                                      Natural
  • Kitchens                                                          Heatlhy
  • Living rooms                                                  Organic
  • Daycare centers                                             Powerful
  • Nurseries                                                        Biodegradable and Environmentally Safe

Liquid in a pump spray bottle

Natural air freshener that you spray.  Works fast and is perfect for bathrooms and diaper bags.

Gel in a Jar

Comes in a Jar that you take a little bit at a time to fill a small ceramic holder once a week or so.  Perfect for the nursery to absorb daily odors.  The gel evaporates faster so it is less economical than the solid.

Sold in a Jar (Block)

A solid block is great for bathrooms, home gyms, living rooms, kitchens, gym lockers, garbage areas and more!

MY THOUGHTS:

I was pleasantly surprised by this company.  I mean they offer products that not only freshen up a room but it is done in a safe and non-toxic way.  I got the chance to try out the Gel in a Jar and basically what you do is scoop a little bit into a ceramic dish then set it wherever you want it to absorb odors.  I love this idea because I am not spraying chemicals into the air mainly in my kitchen and son’s nursery.  Before I would spray air freshener but that just masked the odors and the spray would land on my kitchen counter, dishes, and all over my son’s nursery bedding and changing table.  It reminds me of a super powered box of baking soda.  I have placed some of the gel in a dish in both my kitchen and nursery and I have definitely noticed a fresh feeling in the rooms.  I will say though if you use candles or potpourri in a room, then the Healthy Odor Control products will absorb that smell, as it doesn’t separate out good or bad smells.  The products just eliminate all smells together and leave the rooms fresh.

I am also going to add this to our bathrooms when we have a party because I know how embarrassing it is to use air freshener at someone else’s house and with kids I worry about candles being so low, so now I can leave a little dish of the gel beside the toilet and feel relief that I will have a fresh bathroom.  Overall, I was amazed how this product ate away the odors instead of just masking them.  I have only been using the gel for a few days but I think it is a great product and can see the bottle lasting a few months.  These products are also perfect for those sensitive to odors as they don’t overpower the room with fancy smells, but rather a soft and fresh smell.

I think this is perfect to put out too for all those back to school odors that will be coming in – sports clothes, backpacks, shoes, and all the other craziness that comes with a changing schedule!
