Musselman’s Introduces New Flavors Review

ABOUT:

Musselman’s is a brand that has been around for over 100 years and continues to grow.  The product line includes a wide variety of apple sauces – including apple sauce blended with other fruit flavors and lite apple sauce flavors for those counting calories.  They even have a partnership with Sesame Street to produce Sesame Street Fruit-Flavored apple sauces with 25% less sugar.  Today, Musselman’s is owned by a cooperative of local fruit rowers (Kouse Foods Cooperative) that includes 600 farming families.  The 70,000 acres of fruit orchards produce apples, tart cherries, peaches and blueberries.

MY THOUGHTS:

Now that school has started and we are entering fall, I know it is time for me to get my kids back on track.  Now that my one son is in pre-school, I not only need him to be on a schedule, but I am also searching for healthy snacks for him to take.  Well seeing how he loves applesauce, it was a no brainer that I would pick him up the Musselman’s applesauce snack packs, but I wanted a variety too.  Well now Musselman’s has come out with two new flavors:  Totally Fruit Mixed Berry and Healthy Picks Granny Smith.

Healthy Picks Benefits:

• Fiber, vitamin C, calcium
• No artificial colors or flavors
• No sugar added
• Available in Granny Smith, Raspberry Acai, and Blueberry Pomegranate.

Totally Fruit Benefits:

• No high fructose corn syrup
• Sweetened with fruit juice
• All natural ingredients
• Available in Mixed Berry, Strawberry, and Peach

My boys and I love the new flavors and it is definitely nice to change it up.  I prefer the Mixed Berry because of the different berry flavors, but my boys love the Granny Smith apple sauce because it tastes a little sweeter than traditional apple sauce.  What I love is that I can have one based on my tastes – whether I am looking for regular apple sauce (but a little sweeter) or want something a little different but still the same consistency and quality of apple sauce, I can pick which one I want.

Musselman’s is not just for kids either as snacks, but they are great for adults too.  I love to eat one while I am sitting in the never ending line to pick up my son from school, as a snack before bed, or just to toss in my purse for when I am sitting at the park with my kids.  My sons love Musselman’s anytime and anywhere!
