Connect 4 Launchers Review (& Giveaway Ends 8/17)

ABOUT:

Hasbro has a new product launching this fall called Connect 4 Launchers. It is a fast-flying, frantic action version of the original Connect 4 game. It is sure to keep the family engaged and entertained for hours!

Grab your launcher, aim for the two-tiered horizontal game unit and try to strategically land checkers in the top or bottom tray. Try to be the first player to get four-in-a-row horizontally, vertically or diagonally. Complete with three games in one – Basic Frantic Launch, Championship Frantic Launch and Advanced Power Launch – the fun is nonstop for players of all levels!

MY THOUGHTS:

I used to love Connect 4 when I was a kid and my 4 year old actually really likes it now. I love though that they have revamped the game to make it more exciting and different. Since my boys are still young we don’t really have a family game night yet, but being the board game lover that I am, we will definitely have a regularly scheduled on in a few years and Connect 4 Launchers is sure to be a hit.

I admit when I first saw this game, I was confused and thought it was going to be harder that traditional Connect 4. Setting up Connect 4 Launchers is pretty quick and painless, just snap the four towers to the plastic trays and you are ready to go. Each player than gets their rings and launchers and takes turns launching their rings. I also thought the rings would fly everywhere like crazy but they pretty much go where you want. There are a few different ways to play and really you could just go flinging crazy with the rings, which is what my boys do. My 3 and 4 year old boys don’t really understand the rules so they just fling the rings in and see who can get the rings where and how many. My husband and I played it the right way and it was pretty neat and different. I actually can’t decided which way I like better, the old way or new way as both are fun.
