MY THOUGHTS:

My boys love to play with water and help me measure things when cooking, this kit is perfect for them to explore on their own or learn a few things with my help!

Primary Science Mix & Measure Set

Measuring madness is coming to your kitchen! Enticing, chunky tools are contoured for little hands. Scale, bowl, 3 self-standing spoons and 6 unique cup designs help children visualize quantities as they make mystery goo, puffy paint, slime and more! Activity Cards included.   Ages 4-7

  • Chunky, colorful tools are contoured for little hands
  • Scale, bowl, 3 self-standing spoons and 6 unique cup designs help children visualize quantities
  • Activity Cards guide children in making mystery goo, puffy paint, slime and more!
  • Bowl measures 4.75”H x 6” in diameter

The Primary Science Mix & Measure Kit is full of five cups, three measuring spoons, a bowl with lid, a scale and ten activity cards.  The first thing I did was set up all the items on the bathroom counter (luckily we have the room) and let my boys play on their own.  I wanted them to be comfortable using the cups and seeing how much water goes in them.  They had so much fun doing this and it was actually nice for them not to use my measuring cups!  The cups and spoons in this set are also very kid-friendly and easy to hold.  I am thinking too these will be fun when we can outside and not worry about messes!

So now your probably thinking, “Okay they are playing with measuring cups, now what?”  Well the set includes ten activity cards that give parents all sorts of ideas to get kids thinking, learning and having fun!  The cards have activities such as having kids fill them up to see how two containers of different shapes can hold the same amount, how a whole can be made, and understanding the weight of different objects.  My favorite though is the recipe cards as I am so not crafty!  There are cards for Mystery Goo, Bubbles, Puffy Paint, Trail Mix, Three-Day Clay and Slime Stencils!

Overall, this set includes not only the tools you need but also the ideas for activities.  I do wish though the scale that it included had numbers on it instead of colors, so it was more like a real scale.  The cups though are all high quality plastic and definitely standing up to the roughness my boys have been putting them through.
