The first thing I did when I left the doctors office after finding out I was pregnant for the first time was go to Borders Books. I bought the book “What to Expect When Your Expecting” by Heidi Murkoff and I actually read every page. I found her book very useful and insightful and I followed it with her “What to Expect: The Toddler Years.”
Well other than those two fabulous book, Heidi has been busy! Back in 2006 Heidi actually worked with The What to Expect Foundation and Clorox to develop the “What to Expect: Guide to a Healthy Home.” Now there is a free resource for moms (and dads) called the “What to Expect Healthy Home Growth Chart.” This guide gives parents helpful tips for a healthy home during various milestones in your children’s lives. This guide begins with ” Did you know that the average child can touch up to 300 surfaces every 30 minutes?” I found this Special Addendum very interesting and loved the downloadable growth chart. Basically it is full of helpful tips on how to create a safe environment for your chidren during their milestones.
I know right now I am basically trying to keep my house as clean as possible because my 1 year old is eating and picking up whatever is on the floor and my 2 year old is tracking in all sorts of germs I’m sure. I also am going to have to be more aware of germs because Aidan is going to be starting a Tiny Tikes class where he will go for 2 hours twice a week to a pre-preschool like program. He has never really played with kids like that other than the mall or parks so I am going to really have to work with him over washing his hands and taking his shoes off, instead of stomping through the house with them!
Now you can download a Free copy of this book and it’s Special downloadable Growth Chart!
“I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Clorox and the What to Expect Guide and received a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.”
