So this year since we had a big expense of moving and all the stress that comes along with it, we decided not to vacation this year. I have no energy to plan one, nor do we really have the income for it. Well one way to still have fun and not go broke is to have a “Staycation.” In case you haven’t heard that term yet, let me explain. A staycation is basically when you stay close to home (or even at home) and enjoy take advantage of your state’s activities. For example, visit a historical landmark, check out the beach, spend the night downtown, or if you are lucky enough to live by an amusement park, then visit that! Be creative and pretend you are on vacation so also be adventurous and open-minded.
Well a staycation we have actually been thinking of doing is staying at a hotel with the kids. My mom used to do that with us when we were little and to kids it is like a vacation anyways. Maybe you have even noticed that Holiday Inn has transforming their hotels into more modern hotels with better amenities. With signature bedding that includes soft and firm pillows, power showers in the bathroom, and the convenience and affordability, you can’t go wrong! I am all about the hotel pool because we haven’t been swimming much this year. And with more than 2,500 locations in the US, there should be one nearby!
So whether you are vacationing or “staycationing” Holiday Inn is ready to welcome you and show off their new digs!
