Ecover is an international company who produces ecological cleaners and has been since 1980. The company began in Belgium as a trendsetter as they marketed a phosphate-free washing powder before phosphates were branded as a problem! Now Ecover is marketed in more than 26 countries and they continue to not only come up with new eco-friendly products but they are also a “green” company (they have the world’s first ecological factory!) Their company mission says it all: “Our mission is to provide effective, sustainable solutions for the hygienic needs of mankind.”
Ecover produces products in the following categories: Dishwashing, Laundry, Household, Personal Care, and Miscellaneous. What I really like is that you can click on a product you are interested in and see its benefits to you, environmental benefits, instructions, packaging material and ingredients! Too many times I am curious about a product but the description on the company’s website is vague.
I received the Ecover Grapefruit and Green Tea Dishwashing soap, and love it! It cleans my dishes better than regular old dish soap and it leaves a nice soft scent. So no more smelly sink and dirty dishes, I actually enjoy washing the dishes. I feel better too using this soap washing my son’s sippy cups because I am not worried about a chemical residue left behind. One squeeze of the bottle into my sink is also enough for a whole sink full of dirty dishes. I know some people think natural products don’t clean as well as the big name brand products, but I beg to differ.
