In honor of Earth Day’s 40th Anniversary today, Elmer’s Glue Crew Recycling Program is challenging you to be more environmentally conscious for 40 days! They have created a calendar that starts April 22nd and runs to May 31st, with a tip each day on how to do something environmentally conscious! Some of the ideas are: Grow a Garden, Don’t run the water, Pick up litter, Buy in bulk. All of the tips are easy and I think they are a great way to teach kids how to recycle, re-use, and save. The calendar would actually be a great way for families to work together and hopefully the tips will stick with kids and they will continue to “Save the Planet” each day!
My boys are little but so far they know to turn the water off while they are brushing their teeth and they know a few items that are recyclable. I like all the tips though and even though we won’t be able to accomplish everything as a family, it is still great list and in time I hope we can do it all!
