Oreck Air Quality Forecast
ABOUT THE APP:
At home and when traveling, it can be helpful for health and wellness to know the air quality outdoors, especially if you have asthma, other respiratory concerns, heart disease, and/or when exercising, playing, working outdoors.
Now there’s an app for that. You can check the air quality outdoors anytime, anywhere in the US with new IPhone app on Air Quality, free from Oreck.
iPhone app tells current air quality (latest recorded data), air quality for today (forecast for the day) and forecast for the next day, in US cities across country (data source EPA), all color coded.
Tells if air pollution levels are (will be tomorrow):
Good (green)
Moderate (yellow)
Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (orange)
Unhealthy (red) (everyone may feel effects of air pollution at this level and beyond; sensitive groups may experience more serious effects, according to EPA)
Very Unhealthy (purple)
or Hazardous (maroon)
MY THOUGHTS:
Now luckily my family and I are not really bothered by the pollution and air quality here in Chicago, but I know many people are. I think it is very simple and straightforward, and love the color coded blocks. This would be nice to play with when you are in different areas to see how the air quality differs. You can choose to type in a particular zip code, which I tried out a few other cities and realized Chicago isn’t too bad, or you can click Locate and your current location’s air quality will be located. Would be a great APP for those with allergies or asthma so they can be prepared.
