So I was asked to host a party with some friends to share the new Pedialyte Singles. One problem we always encounter when one of us is sick, is what are we going to eat for dinner. Now since moms don’t get sick days, I constantly have to be prepared and if one of my boys is sick then in reality we are all feeling his pain! (Don’t even get me started on my husband being sick – you would think he was having a baby with how much he moans and complains!) So the idea of my Make ‘N Take a.k.a. “Feel Better” party was to have some friends and family over to show them how easy it is to have ready made meals on hand and how useful the new Pedialyte Singles are for kids.
Now I am by no means a cook, nor do I plan ahead meals, but I do always keep a stocked freezer! I always have a freezer full of meals that take usually 10-15 minutes to cook. My three meals I choose to show off for the party are Marie Callender’s Vermont White Cheddar Mac ‘N Cheese, a Frozen Pizza, and homemade mini meatloaves – yes I do cook every now and then! All three of them are a comfort food for my family and are super easy to make and serve. Yes my friends laughed when I showed them the combination but after they thought about it, they realized it made sense. I do usually make the meatloaves when I need them as I always have the ingredients on hand, but I realized I could probably freeze them and just cook them that way too!
My friends were surprised at the new Pedialyte Singles at how they looked like juice boxes, everyone remembered the big plastic jug of Pedialyte you would have to buy. They were even more impressed at the Apple Juice flavor! I explained how Pedialyte is specially formulated to quickly replace lost fluids due to diarrhea and vomiting so kids can feel better fast. I even showed them a chart I printed off the Pedialyte website over how much sugar Apple Juice for example has compared to Pedialyte. I know in the past I thought Apple Juice was great for making kids feel better but now I reach for Pedialyte Singles.
