Okay so I am not one to mix beer with anything, I like it straight and ice cold, but these recipes do sound pretty awesome! I had to give one of them a chance though! Bohemia is a smooth light beer than didn’t leave a beer funk taste afterwards, if you know what I mean.
Bohemia has a wine-like texture, slight carbonation and soft fruit aromas, so it will blend nicely with fruit juices if you are looking for a refreshing drink for lets say Sunday brunch (or just because!)
Here are two recipes to try out with Bohemia beer:
- The Bohemia Mimosa replaces champagne, as used in the traditional recipe, with Bohemia beer.
- Bohemia Bloody Maria is a new twist on the old-fashioned tomato juice cocktail that combines Bohemia beer and tequila.
Bohemia Mimosa
Ingredients
- ¾ cup (1/2 bottle) Bohemia Beer, very cold
- ½ cup (4 ounces) fresh squeezed orange juice, very cold
- Orange slices for garnish
Directions
- Pour beer into a wine glass. Top with orange juice.
- Stir gently.
- Garnish with a small orange slice.
I tried out the Bohemia Mimosa and I will say it was interesting. Now I have had beer that had a citrus taste to it, but never had I mixed in actual juice with beer. So I tried it and mixed in the orange juice and Bohemia beer. The beer is sweet to begin with and mixed with the orange juice it really gave it a Mimosa taste. The beer made the orange juice bubbly (carbonated) and it was a refreshing drink. It is though very sweet so if you are not a sweets fan then you may not like this with the juice.
