As a Chicagoan, I love good pizza and could probably eat it every day. Pizza is just such a comfort food for me and with so many varieties I have yet to get bored of it. While my kids are happy with the $2 store brand pizza I buy for them, I crave something a little bit more. Not that there is anything wrong with the store brand pizzas, but sometimes a higher quality premium pizza is what I need to hit the spot. My husband especially is a pizza snob and prefers to order out for pizza.
Recently though I picked up a New Digiorno Pizzeria Pizza for dinner for my husband and I, and it was a hit! Digiorno Pizzeria comes in four varieties, but so far my local Walmart only had the Four Cheese Variety available.
I honestly can’t wait to try the other varieties. The Digiorno Four Cheese pizza was just cheese and it was delicious. It was really the perfect combination of cheeses and so fresh tasting. To me it tasted more like a homemade pizza I have made in the past rather than a pizza I took out of the freezer. It is a pizza that I would serve to my husband, my girlfriends and my family. Honestly though my kids wouldn’t appreciate the good flavors from it so I’d probably make them the store brand pizza and save this for us adults. I can’t really describe what makes it different than other frozen pizzas or even other Digiorno pizzas, but its good. With a crispy crust drizzled with extra virgin olive oil on the outside, soft on the inside, new flavorful sauce from vine-ripened tomatoes, garlic and herbs and finishing off with premium quality meats, cheeses and vegetables – there is nothing I would change. Well I suppose I’d change making the pizza bigger so there is more of it!
Don’t mind that I burned it a little, I like it crispy!
