Not until I had my own kids in elementary school did I realize the importance of fundraising. Before I honestly felt bothered when friends and family hounded me what seemed like weekly to buy something or donate to support their schools. Now I realize that the more money my kid’s school can raise, the less money I will have to pay for things and the better programs (and items) they will have! For example, boy my kindergartener and 1st grader get to go on two field trips each thanks to money raised through the PTA. How does the PTA raise money? Through fundraising!
So I like to help wherever I can. One thing I do a lot is shop online and now thanks to All For Schools, parents (and friends) can shop online like they normally do and earn cash for schools! All For Schools is a new online fundraising platform for schools where users can shop online and earn a percentage of cash back for various schools. Oh and its not just shopping online but also checking out coupons and deals! It is currently in the beginning stages so not many schools are included yet but I hope it does expand as I think this is an awesome concept! No more excuses from people (myself included) about donating or not needing something, with All For Schools you shop when you want and for what you want! I was even able to make a quick purchase from Walmart.com and a percentage of my purchase was credited towards a school in Chicago!
I specifically love that Groupon is one of the sites listed as I buy a lot of Groupon deals, especially for summer activities. Just by purchasing a Groupon, which saves me money, up to 6% will be donated to the school of your choice (although its just a few schools currently in the system.) Why wouldn’t I shop through All For Schools to buy stuff I already had intentions of buying! Earning money is super easy! Just visit All For Schools website, click what you what to shop through, then it takes you to the same shopping site you would have visited in the first place. Basically by making All For Schools the middle man, schools will earn some money and it won’t cost you any extra money. It just costs an extra minute of your time as you have to visit All For Schools first and click through. The only flaw I have found in using All For Schools is that the schools listed are limited in your choices, but I’m hoping the program spreads and more schools are added.
