How could I not want to take care of this smile?
When I was younger I remember going to the dentist regularly. My mom always made sure us kids had the best care we could for our teeth and instilled in us that proper dental care is important. Now as a mom myself I make sure all five of us go for our twice a year cleanings and get any issues taken care of right away. I explain to my kids that once you get your adult teeth thats all you get for life so its important to take care of them!
The first step in proper dental care I think is visiting a dentist once or twice a year. Visiting a dentist is important too not just for making sure your teeth are clean but to check for potential problems. Did you know that poor oral health has been linked to conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and stroke? Dentists are like doctors for your teeth and mouth and basically a step in protecting your families overall heath. With a regular cleaning, a dentist can catch problems that exist before they get worse.
Now sure cleanings don’t cost that much (although they might for your budget), a more serious issue could be found and that adds up quickly. Dental insurance to me is a must have. I’ve had to pay for a root canal before without insurance and let’s just say it too me awhile to pay it off. Without regular cleanings, bacteria can build up in your mouth and lead to decay, cavities and eventually tooth loss.
A dental insurance plan from Guardian Dental can help cover the costs of basic dental procedures as well as costly ones. Guardian Dental plans can even be purchased individually at any time throughout the year. You don’t even need a qualifying life event like other insurance requires to purchase their dental insurance.
I honestly hadn’t heard of Guardian Dental before but they have been providing insurance products for over 150 years to more than 20 million Americans. I really like that they offer dental insurance anytime you need it and you can easily get an instant quote from their website.
