I partnered with this app in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
My 4 year old loves books and listening to stories but as a mom of three, I don’t have a lot of time to read one-on-one with her. I do try to have special time with each child but when I can’t be individually with them, I try to quality products for them to enjoy. With my kids and their love of technology many quality products I end up checking out tend to be apps for their tablets.
One app I recently checked out called “Who Lit the Moon?” is an app that my daughter has really enjoyed. It is an interactive fairy tale story with mini games. The app starts off with a curious little girl asking questions to her grandmother. Her grandmother answers her questions with a fairy tale.
The app is interactive with lots of spots to click around on for sounds and movements. Once your child is ready for the story, they can easily click on the book and listen to it. There is no video to go along but rather a story read aloud. This is great for kids who just want to lay and listen to a story rather than stare at a screen. Kids get enough of video watching. In addition to the stories, there are mini games for kids to complete that teach great lessons.
Features:
- Fully interactive story, puzzles, riddles and mini-games
- Easy buttons for kids to navigate the app
- Complete voice over and original soundtrack
- Original artwork by Maya Bocheva
You can even turn down the light if its too bright with just a few taps:
There is a lot of fun to be had on the app and when your child is ready to move on, you can download additional stories. My daughter has yet to tire of the app so we haven’t purchased the additional stories but I wouldn’t say no if she asked. I do love how beautifully illustrated the app is and that I don’t have to worry about anything inappropriate.
