I received this product in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
My boys have been playing video games since they were probably 5 or 6 years old, my 9-year-old daughter though has never been a big gamer. She is just not tech savvy and prefers arts and crafts to electronics. Sometimes though I like to bridge the gap between my kids and find something that we can all enjoy as a family. We have played a lot of board games recently, especially during quarantine, but there are only so many games we own. After all, while playing games like blackjack online can be a great deal of fun, it’s always better when the enjoyment is shared among your loved ones.
Well Nintendo has found a way to bring board games to life for the family that includes 51 classic games from around the world.
Now your family can enjoy board games wherever and whenever and with 51 games to choose from it will be hard to get bored anytime soon. MY kids so far have been playing their favorites over and over and have yet to tackle even half the games so far.
Each game includes how-to-play instructions and trivia tidbits. Defeat all difficulty levels of CPU opponents to become a master of each game! Play on the go, on the TV, or with others locally or online*.
What is especially great is that this collection includes classic games such as Four-in-a-Row and Dots and Boxes as well as international games such as Mahjong Solitaire and Shogi. Looking for something different than a game there are games like Slot Car Racing and a piano keyboard.
Want to play Classic Games with a friend?
You can play dozens of games together with another person on a single Nintendo Switch system with one Joy-Con controller per player or sharing the touch screen. For more players you just need additional Joy-Cons.
Up to four people can connect locally with a player who owns the full game to play all the 40+ multiplayer games. This is awesome because if you have siblings with their own Nintendo Switch devices then you don’t have to buy each one the game. My son loves this because he has the game and now he can share with his friends who don’t own the game.
We haven’t tried this feature yet but with Mosaic Mode up to four players can connect locally using their own systems to allow the action to spread across screens in certain games. Place up to four systems side-by-side to build dozens of Slot Cars racetracks or turn a pond into a river for more fishing fun.
Play with others worldwide when you connect to the internet to play more than 40 games with friends online. You can also choose to get matched up with rivals from around the world. It’s your chance to show off your skills!
