The Great American Cooking Expo! (October 23-25th)

If you live in Chicaoland and have nothing going on October 23, 24, or 25th then head over to The Great American Cooking Expo in Palatine, IL. I can’t believe I haven’t heard of this before, but I am glad I didn’t miss it!

It does cost $20 (parking is free) but you it will be a day filled of “Sampling, Savoring, and Discovering the best foods, beers, wines and products available in today’s culinary marketplace. “ Now I am not a cook, not even close, but I am slowly learning and what better place to start than an expo full of live chef demos and food preparation techniques. Oh and did I mention you also get to sample fine wines and fantastic foods! I am actually looking forward to hanging out in the Goose Island Beer Garden and checking out all the new cooking gadgets.

There will also be giveaways going on! One giveaway is for a Traeger Grill ($600 value) and there will be a yet to announced Moore Travel giveaway and raffle!

If you are interested in going, you definitely want to purchase your tickets ahead of time online, otherwise the cost goes up $10 so it will be $30 a person. This is also a 21 and older event with children and infants not permitted. So this is the perfect time to get a babysitter for a few hours and relax with some great food and wine!
