Back in 2001, unless you lived under a rock, then you would have heard the song “Superman” by Five for Fighting. I actually still hear this song on the radio occasionally. “Superman” was climbing the charts and after 9/11 it became a song of healing for the nation as it was such a emotional and powerful song.
Then in 2004, Five for Fighting released “100 years” which again was yet another inspiring and reflective song. John Ondraslk is the singer and songwiter behind Five for Fighting and he is now back again with a new CD hopefully to inspire and touch its listeners.
“Slice” debuted October 13th and on it John “speaks his mind about current issues, experiences and sentiments, while setting those thoughts to piano, bass and drums.” The CD is a mellow and I honestly like to liten to it while I am sitting at the computer blogging or just searching around aimlessly. John’s voice is soothing and calm and when he sings you can actually understand the words, which I liked. Overall, I liked it even though it is more mellow than my typical genre.
