“Chicken Soup for the Soul: Christmas Magic” is a book all about holiday magic, traditions, inspiration and love. It is full of 101 stories told by people who have both good and bad stories revolving around Christmastime. It is a great book to read if you need an uplift during this stressful holiday time or just want to see how another family celebrated. The stories make my own family not so crazy! There are also stories that may make you tear up as they are sad but in the end they have a great inspirational tone to them. Its a great book to pick up and read a story or two and put it down.

We have never had a lot of money, but somehow(usually working two jobs)I manage to give my kids what they want for Christmas. This year I paid attention to my adult children and made a note everytime they mentioned something they wish they had or needed. It was one of our best Christmases because they received gifts that they didn’t ask for but I knew they wanted.

I am a newlywed and this year is our first Christmas as husband and wife. I wanted to do something special. I came up with the idea of
“12 days of Christmas”. On Dec 14th we started. We give each other one gift a day all the way through Christmas. It can be a gift that we need (necessity) or something we would like. We agreed to keep the gift purchases at a budget level.
We both love this idea, here it is Dec 23rd and only two days left until Christmas. I loved how it is much easier doing it this way than buying a bunch of gifts all for one day. We didn’t wrap the gifts either, we simply put a bow on them. We plan on doing it every year from now on!!!
Besides that, every year my sister, brothers and I get together on Christmas Eve. We have held this tradition since we were kids.
Our parents are deceased but we still make sure that we remember them every year on Christmas Eve. We talk about old times and have some good laughs. We have dinner and exchange gifts too.
