    Arrrrrrr you ready for a romping new building adventure?  Join Bob the Builder™ and his Can-Do Crew as they embark on a fun pirate movie adventure full of exciting building and mystery in the all-new CG animated Bob the Builder: The Golden Hammer – The Movie.

    While installing new pillars at the local museum, Spud and Scrambler learn of the Pirate Brickbeard’s Golden Hammer and team up to find the treasure to present it to Bob as a gift.  As Bob lends a helping hand to construction projects around the town, Spud and Scrambler use the power of positive thinking, teamwork and problem-solving to get the job done and solve the mystery surrounding the legend of the Golden Hammer!

    Shiver me timbers!  Bob the Builder and his Top Team have moved to Fixham Harbor for a swashbuckling new adventure.  Spud and Scrambler learn about the legend of Pirate Brickbeard’s Golden Hammer, a treasure that he has hidden in their new town. The team must follow the clues to find its location. Can they find it? Yes they can!  All hands on deck for a treasure trove of mystery and fun!

    MY THOUGHTS:

    I admit I haven’t actually watched this DVD yet with my boys, but I have heard it.  I brought it in the car with us for our car DVD player and my boys love it!  I have heard the movie over and over again and they laugh constantly.  It first off is an actual Bob the Builder movie so it is long enough for kids to watch straight through (so you can get some housework done) or watch partly and turn it back on later.  The movie is also different because unlike regular Bob the Builder episodes where he is building a particular project, this movie features pirates and a treasure chest!  It of course features all the Bob the Builder great lessons, like teamwork, friendship, and critical thinking.  My boys love it and the parts I have caught do look quite amazing and fun!  I love the new animation and bright colors.  Great movie for any child!
