Buying Musselman’s Apple Sauce supports Breast Cancer!

To start off 2010, Musselman’s will be donating ten cents to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) for every package of Musselman’s Natural Apple Sauce purchased throughout the month of January. The NBCF is dedicated to raising awareness of breast cancer through education and by providing mammograms for those in need.

One thing I never thought of was adding apple sauce to recipes. Usually I serve it alone or let my kids add in some toppings, but Musselman’s apple sauce is really a great way to dress up any recipe! I received a bottle of Musselman’s Natural Apple Sauce in their pink ribbon package to try out and some fabulous recipe ideas, such as Craig’s Apple Pork Chops, Good Morning Muffins, Apple Raisin Crumb Pie, Easy Apple Harvest Cake and Apple Sauce Meatloaf. So far, I have whipped up the Craig’s Apple Pork Chops and they we a huge hit in my household! My son who is the pickiest eater, asked for more! Next I am going to try the Muffins and Meatloaf!

With the cold whether here, I know I am all about comfort foods and apple sauce is always delicious both alone or mixed in your favorite comfort foods. It is also a great way to add a serving of fruit to your meals while helping those affected with breast cancer.
