MY THOUGHTS:
There is nothing cuter than a dad reading to his sons; however, I have noticed there are more books geared toward moms and kids. Well the book “Father and Son Read-Aloud Stories” by Robert Gould is an adorable book that is perfect for dads and their sons. It is a wonderfully illustrated book by Lara Gurin that uses realistic watercolor-like illustrations for pictures throughout the stories.
The book contains six classic tales that are sure to spark creativity and bonding. The stories are short, perfect for reading before bed. I would say too that it is geared towards kids at least Ages 5 and up, because the illustrations are not animated and fun, but more detailed and the stories may be a little hard for younger kids to understand. My husband tried reading this book to our three year old and he sat for a page but then looked for a more colorful and shorter book. I think they he will be handing this over to my husband in a few years, and begging him to read it. It is a nice hardcover book that is sure to stand up to being read over and over again!
