So I was going to wait until my kids are a few years older because it is hard enough just going to the mall with the two of them, but I just couldn’t pass up this deal. I am taking my family to the Social Media Moms Celebration at Walt Disney World next month! Now I have been to Disney World three times, but the last time was nine years ago. I also have never been there with kids so this trip should be interesting!
For only $350, I am getting 3 nights at the Polynesian Resort, theme park passes for 7-days for all of us, select meals, and some special entertainment! Now it is a conference so I will be attending sessions and listening to speakers but I do get a little time for myself. I am slightly worried about my husband as he has never been there and he will be alone with the kids for a little bit. Well not totally alone, as my 11-year old sister will be with us too. She can be a big help at times and she has never been to Walt Disney World before. I actually wish we could stay longer but my sister is already going to be missing four days of school and my husband has a training session at work he has to get back for. We are also driving from Chicago so we have a 20-hour drive to keep in mind of. Luckily I purchased my pass when I did, because the following day it was sold out.
We have decided to leave my youngest at home as he is only 18 months and for our first time, especially because I have sessions to attend to, I want to be able to scope it out and prepare for when we go next time. I figure too he will just as good of a time at grandma’s for the week as he will get lots of attention and grandparents love! He also gets antsy at the mall so I can’t even imagine him with all the walking we will be doing at Disney. I feel like a bad mom but I know it’s not the last time we will go.
Since we have to pay for internet there, I probably won’t be blogging and checking my emails, but I will be sneaking peaks on my husband’s iphone. I will hopefully be able to schedule some posts and not leave you ladies hanging.
If anyone has any Disney advice for me, please share! Otherwise I will be sharing all our experiences the weeks after we get back!
